Changing Text in the Website (6.0)

This Article will talk about how to modify text in the web pages.

There are two types of text that we pull from, the website text pages, and the core control panel.

It is important to differentiate these, since the first is fully changeable by you, but the second is stored in the core DLL. The parts that are stored in the core DLL are integral parts of control panel, and can not be changed by the hoster. These include things like the name Reseller, Company and User. However, the panels that show up in the pages (reseller, company and user) all pull the text from SQL and can be changed.

In many instances, we allow you to double click on the label of the text and edit both the text and the tooltip of that label.  This only occurs for Labels and only for some, not all yet.

In addition, if you go to Hosting Administration, and then click on Text Translations, in here are all the resource text that can be changed. You will see different types in the drop down at the top of the screen.  There are 2 drop downs, one controls the language, and the other controls the segment of text.  Most text is in the AdminText section.

To find the text you want, you can just type into the top of the grid a sample of the text to replace, and filter it, and then you will see the key.  On the far right, just enter in the new text and that is all you need to do.
